You know the nostalgic feeling of watching old home videos? That’s the feeling I want you to have when you look back at your wedding day in 20 years.
The unfortunate part about planning a wedding is that it’s typically our first time and many couples don’t think of video as a big deal until either the wedding is over or if they’re lucky — a family member says they really regret not hiring a videographer.
Photos are a staple, but video allows you to see, hear and relive the day in ways you just can’t with still images.
That’s why I interview family/friends, capture the commotion of the day, and showcase how your wedding day actually was because there’s so many little moments you don’t even realize you missed until you watch the video.
I’m generous with my footage, so I wrap it all up into 2 films for you. A feature film, plus a full length documentary video with all the good stuff. This includes ceremony, speeches, messages, and any funny bits I think you might like.
Some videos have been up to 3 hours long! Being a dad now, I put my dad cam persona on and make a truly meaningful video for you.
I think video is the best Time Machine we have, which is why I hyper document my little girl’s life.

Inspired by dad lugging around a huge VHS camcorder documenting life’s moments — I aim to do the same for you, but with better tech.
I love the in-between moments, hearing how couples met and I’m quite sentimental at heart.
As for my own love story, I met Aija on Instagram believe it or not! She’s from Latvia and I somehow convinced her to fly over to meet me. 3.5 years of Latvia to Canada flights and now we’ve been married for over 5 years and now we have a baby girl. :)
That’s why I find it so fascinating that two strangers can choose to intertwine their lives and that’s the cool part about documenting weddings.
As mentioned, I hope my wedding films bring back all the great memories of why you got married, to see the moments you might have missed, and to serve as your first official family video. :)

My style is very much casual documentary. Home video, vlog like. There are moments I know you’ll want, so I definitely make those happen, but the majority is just hanging out, and celebrating with you as things unfold.
I love the in-between moments.
Keeping you calm and enjoying your day is my priority.

We ask for a 50% deposit to hold your date and the remainder anytime before the wedding date. Without a deposit we can’t guarantee your date.

We’ll ask to keep the deposit portion (to help us live and pay our bills), but know that we’ll try our best to accommodate and figure out something fair.

Fingers crossed this never happens, but if for some reason we are absolutely unable to capture your day, we will try our best to find another photographer/videographer to sub in or refund your money completely.
Again, this will be discussed with you in efforts to make things go as smoothly as possible.

I have a large collection of fun cameras for different purposes, but my main staples are these:
For video: Sony FX3 and Sony A7IV for main content and either my Canon handycam or Sony ZVe10 for Dad cam footage.
For photo: Sony A7IV, Sony A7III, Fujifilm XT4 as main shooters and my Sony point-and-shoot, Fujifilm Instax or old Canon film camera for funsies.
