My 2025 Wedding Videography Kit

My 2025 Wedding videography kit. I don’t take everything to a wedding day as I try to keep it as simple as possible, but these are the items I’ll pull from. I try to keep everything carry-able in one trip from the car into the venue.

CAMERAS

  1. Sony FX3 - This camera has been absolutely amazing! Light, compact, great image stabilization, autofocus and a clean 12,800 ISO image.

  2. Sony A7IV - My main photo camera, but I also use it as a b cam for video. I think this is the best hybrid video camera at the moment.

  3. Sony zve10 - This has been my dad cam and a secondary camera to grab quick moments as well as using it for ceremony and speeches. I would recommend the mark ii.

  4. DJI Osmo Pocket 3 - Versatile and easy to use camera for BTS and interviews. I’ve really been loving this camera.

  5. Fujfilm x100F - My fun everyday carry, quick snaps at weddings and perfect for life documentation.

  6. Canon Vixia HF R300 - My nostalgic dad cam for interesting B-roll, quick shots and to add a vibe to my films.

  7. Canon s120 - Fun point and shoot camera for an old school feel. Definitely use with direct flash on.

LENSES

  1. Tamron 20-40 f2.8 - Used in the mornings and tight spaces

  2. Sigma 28-70 f2.8 - Great all around lens. I could use this one lens for an entire wedding.

  3. Samyang 24mm f1.8 - My go to lens for reception/party time. Lightweight and wide aperture.

  4. Sony 35mm f1.8 - I like this for portraits when I have time to switch lenses. A solid multipurpose lens if you prefer the looks of primes and want that clarity and depth.

AUDIO

  1. Sony TX660 - My favourite audio kit. You can clip on groom, have speakers hold it, clip to speech microphones. Easy to use and quick to setup.

  2. Tascam DR40x (I’d recommend Tascam x6 or Zoom f3 for the 32 bit float)- For plugging into DJ’s mixer

  3. Tascam DR10L pro - For when you want the best audio and have time to run a lav mic (plus 32 bit float is awesome)

  4. Sennheiser MKE200 - Best compact and batteryless on camera mic

  5. Rode Video Micro - Also a great batteryless on camera mic that isolates frontal audio better than the MKE200, but bulkier because of required wind muff

  6. Sennheiser MKE600 - Amazing shotgun mic for when you’re ok to deal with the size for better on camera audio.

LIGHTING

  1. Godox Molus G60 - I don’t typically light my speeches, but I bring this in case it’s really dark.

  2. ZGCINE v99 - for my camera rig, charging batteries, and powering the G60 light.

DRONE

  1. DJI mini 3 - Great little drone if you don’t want to deal with drone licensing
